And now for something a little different…….

A couple of months ago I saw this lovely idea Ronda_Christmas_Wreath

It was on the Fancy Pants website with instructions here

So I decided to make my own……now when I started it I hadn’t anticipated that making the Poinsettia flowers would be quite so time consuming but finally it is finished. Here is my version

I also added a set of battery operated fairy lights (from the 99p shop)

Scrapbook Sisters Card Challenge

A quick post from me today as it is nearly my bedtime! Here is my card for this weeks challenge – the theme is non-traditional Christmas Colours. I chose light blue and brown as I chose to use the free papers with the latest edition of The Scrapbook Magazine. The papers are by Nitwits and are good quality and certainly good enough to use on scrapbook pages or cards – I think that there are still a couple of copies left in the shop.

Snowflakes

006_crop

Here is my card for this weeks challenge at Scrapbook Sisters where the theme is snowflakes.

I have used an acetate base  hence the difficulty in photographing it and the rubbish results – then added a piece of  snowflake paper to the back of the card. I used my favourite Penny Black stamp of the mouse and the snowflake coloured with Copics. I then added three snowflake diecuts decorated with gems and stamped the wording with peg stamps.

Have a look at Scrapbook Sisters Blog to see this card challenge and look out for some exciting new developments in the New Year.

Another one finished…….

I spent most ( actually all) of yesterday finishing this In Miniature Project from our monthly classes with Karen at Scrapbook Sisters. I have quite a few projects that need finishing and  it is my mission to get as many as possible completed on the run up to Christmas and over the Christmas period to start the new year afresh.

Warning lots of photos coming up and sorry about my fingers in the photos it was difficult to get a good photo.

The papers are from Doodlebug, the flowers and buttons are from the Papermania Capsule Collection – the rest is A4 cardstock.

One project down…..lots more to go!!!

Dear Blog……….

Dear Blog, I’m sorry that I have been neglecting you but I have been very busy making Christmas cards – I’m sure you understand! Now I have made 60 cards I will have more time for you!

Anyway here is my card for this weeks challenge at Scrapbook Sisters

014 I used a Woodware chippies frame as a template and used various off cuts of Christmas papers to make the patchwork. The holly sprig was cut on the Cricut and the holly berries are cut from the red pom pom  trim. Each of the squares has faux stitching around the edges.

Now I have finished my Christmas cards I can catch up with a few unfinished projects.
