A Bee Card

It's my mother in laws Birthday today and she has always wanted a bee hive in her garden but my father in law is not so enthusiastic at the idea! Well, we found a compromise and we bought her a solitary bee house so of course  a bee themed card was needed too.

The bee hive itself is cut on the Cricut in white card and then I coloured it with Copics (of course), the background is stamped with a set of Tapestry stamps and then I stamped the six little bees and coloured them with Copics. I have had the bee stamp for a long time and cannot read the makers name on it.

I like the idea of cutting shapes on the Cricut and then colouring with Copics, I think I will have to cut a few more shapes and see what else I can colour to make them a bit more interesting.

Lovely Jeannie,The background is stunning. I've tried colouring diecuts. I bought some Sizzix dies the other year in a sale but was put off using them because I thought I needed to cut out the layers to get the colour, used this method instead. Aren't Copics just wonderful! x
